Re: How do you rate ridiculously bad movies: 0 or >0 ?

The ranking system can only work if all users reply (by way of their ratings) to the same question. To put it in the simplest possible terms, I'd say the question is "How good/bad did you find the movie?" Now if users use their vote to reply to different questions, e.g. "How much did...

Re: How do you rate ridiculously bad movies: 0 or >0 ?

You are ruining the ratings and TCIs by voting >0. So-bad-it's-good-movies can be enjoyable ( y axis ) but they are still bad in terms of "movie quality" ( x axis ). The purpose of Criticker is to vote on the latter. Says who? This is such a bizarrely conservative line of thinking. And th...

Re: 21st century directors: any great ones?

Using djross's original criteria and taking tier 10 to be >89th percentile, tier 9 80-89th etc., the only one who qualifies for me is Andrew Bujalski: Computer Chess (94p) Mutual Appreciation (87) Funny Ha-Ha (87) + Results (70) Support the Girls (70) Peoples House [short] (70) Analog Goose [short] ...

Re: The Bourne Franchise

'Currently at the Forum'

It would seem to make more sense for the 'Currently at the Forum' link to go to the most recent post in the thread rather than the oldest.

Re: Rank Every Time Travel Movie

Three very enjoyable and relatively novel approaches:

Detention (2011)
Triangle (2009)
The Endless (2017) (definitely see the directors' Resolution first if you can)

edit: I see PrestoBix has seen The Endless but not Resolution. See Resolution, PrestoBix!

Re: Add to collection?

Once you apply the country filters, click "save filter" and choose a name.

But you're right on sharing, that's another story. I don't believe you can link directly to a saved filter on the site itself, but you can export it to a variety of formats (very bottom left) and share it that way

Re: Add to collection?

Why would you create a collection for that when you can save the filter for the same thing? Better, since it essentially 'updates' automatically

Re: 1001 TV Series You Must Watch

7 Up is included in there, but that's a documentary film; was that an error? There are other questionable inclusions. Mike Leigh's Abigail's Party is in, I guess because it was, like other Leigh films, originally part of the anthology series Play for Today , but it's the only entry included. I don'...
