ESPN: 30 for 30

Wondering how Criticker works, or have a question that doesn't seem to fit under requests or bugs?

ESPN: 30 for 30

Post by Pickpocket »

There's an inconsistency on imdb in regards to ESPN's documentary series 30 for 30. For example I was trying to submit this: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1501756/ (movie was fantastic btw) but it is listed as a TV show whereas many of the other docs found in this series aren't. Collection can be found here: http://www.criticker.com/?fl&filter=e16873 . I'm wondering how I can circumvent this and get all of these on criticker? Thanks

I was actually wondering the same thing.

The 30 for 30 series is inconsistent, but generally very good. Once Brothers, Benji, and The Two Escobars are particular standouts. Haven't seen the USFL one yet.

The reason those got on is because Imdb had duplicate entries and listed some episodes as TV movies. That said, I think some series, like this one, Play for Today, American Playhouse, and other similar anthology shows where the episodes have no connection besides sharing a programing timeslot and peripheral presentation, should be exempt from the TV series rule, since they're really TV movies wholly independent of each other.
