I very much did enjoy this film. It was dark like you mentioned which is a change of pace for Chan. It was a good film and that had a lot more layers than I had originally thought which helped Pierce Brosnan give off a great performance but I also found that hurt the films ending.

I thought it was pretty crappy, honestly. Jackie Chan is good as a dramatic actor and some scenes displayed that strength rather well, but the writing was incredibly lame and the plot is insultingly predictable. Not to mention that Jackie's character comes off as more insane than heroic, the fact he was ultimately irrelevant made it all the worse.
