I'm happy that my post put a smile on your face.

Also I'm not interested in money or the bussiness side of the films.

Leia was a fierce fighter woman and she has become practically a female Dumbledore. Luke was a passionate guy. His passion was actually the drive of the first three films. Now he's become a soulless shell.

What I wrote was "the more they are around the more they are ruined". It was a year ago. I still think the same. Kill the past. Don't ruin the old characters.

That was actually one of the aspects I liked. People change over time. Rise and fall.

Yeah, sure they were better in the originals. None of them despite circumstances were given good exits or deaths within the trilogy. Solo was predictable as the old man archetype in Force Awakens. Luke went the route of Yoda in The Last Jedi and knew he had given all he could to ensure the future of the Galaxy was in good hands.

Leia was not given any sort of send-off and in my opinion her using the force in Space was one of the worst scenes the trilogy has offered up yet. I just don't see a viable way to give this character any semblance of finality. I know Carrie Fishers passing was tragic and unforseen but there had to be a better way to handle this on screen to pay respects to all she has done for the Saga.

They gave us enough and the more they are around the more they are ruined. We don't need to see Leia kicking C3PO or a ghost Qui-Gon story.
