She had to be the worst casting decision in the 21st century even before her impolitic faux pas(s), but Sony/Matel can consider themselves lucky--or were probably behind it. I just can't imagine that the box office and merchandising of a chubby Barbie would be lucky to be even lackluster. The only thing done here was to add to the waist and hips, but even that doesn't come close:

Yeah I wanted to cut to the politically incorrect chase; but like a train wreck I just can't look away or wonder at the level of stupidity which brought it to that--and I ended up being politically incorrect anyway......shucks.
