For myself, 1439 out of 2251 movies are listed by Criticker as being from the USA, which is close to 64%.
All the same qualifications about the country designations on Criticker still apply seven years later. For example, it is not even remotely true that I have seen 163 Canadian movies.
I've been watching a lot of Classic Hollywood recently so it's not likely going to happen anytime soon but I would love if that number could get below 70%. I'd really like to have a more diverse consumption of pop culture, in all senses of the term.
Out of 4960: 2817 USA, or about 56.8% 652 France, or about 13.1% 586 UK, or about 11.8% 375 Italy, or about 7.6% 304 Germany, or about 6.1% 236 Japan, or about 4.8% 158 Canada, or about 3.2% 122 Israel, or about 2.5% 122 Chinese-speaking countries, or about 2.5% 83 Sweden, or about 1.7% 80 Australia, or about 1.6% 79 Spain, or about 1.6% 65 if adding up USSR & Russia, or about 1.3% 51 Iran, or about 1% 49 Czech, or about 1%
Officially a junkie with a little over 2500 movies
USA 82.48%
non USA 45.38%
UK 13.40%
Canada 13.16%
Germany 8.49%
France 6.14%
Japan 3.77%
Australia 3.09%
Spain 1.38%
Czech 1.19%
Italy 1.11%
New Zealand 1.11%
China 1.07%
South Africa 0.95%
Hong Kong 0.83%
And for an oddball country, I've seen 25% of movies on this site from Bahrain.
USA --------------------------- 914 - (79.8%) (Down ~1% from 2 years ago) UK ---------------------------- 164 - (14.3%) France ------------------------ 69 - (6.0%) Germany/West Germany--- 59 - (5.2%) Canada (I live there!) ------ 42 - (3.7%) (The CRTC would be disappointed with my distinct lack of Can-Con) Japan ------------------------- 27 - (2.4%) India -------------------------- 25 - (2.2%) Australia --------------------- 17 - (1.5%) Italy -------------------------- 14 - (1.2%) New Zealand ---------------- 12 - (1.0%)
I speak French and German also, so France and Germany being my two highest non-English countries is no surprise.
