Alien Supersuit for Superpower Kid

Perhaps there's an intergalactic menace who's landed on Earth, mucking up the place. Or maybe a dopey kid is just digging with a pail and shovel in the park one afternoon. Somehow, a boy finds an alien hero who likes saving the day and such, who uses a supertechnological suit to do his daysaving. The alien gets incapacitated at some point, and the boy wears the supersuit, and saves the day. I believe there's a carnival. Though his final battle is in his back yard.

The suit is black/gray, meteor-rock-ish. It provides super strength and some basic flight. I think it basically moves on its own when fighting, unless the boy wants to override (or maybe it gets broken and he has to).
