Woman with mental illness is being manipulated

A woman is mentally ill (bipolar?), and she is admitted to a hospital. Throughout the movie, it turns out her uncle (who is a doctor?) has been manipulating her environment to keep her unstable, so he can control her money. He has a gambling problem, and is using her money to control his own addiction. He gets arrested in the end I believe, and she gets the real help she needs with her boyfriend.
