ok, so I remember it to be an 80's/90's movie I saw on cable. one of those teen type movie. I remember there's some kind of competition and the guy wins, and the hot girl is waiting for him in bed, but he decides he loves someone else. (its not ski school or hotdog).

A thousand deja vus. Could you try to be more specific about the settings or the type of competition it was?

Does it really matter? Half of the gigantic amount of superficial movies, which mostly release in summer have more or less a story going that way.

I thought it was ski competition but I could be wrong. I do remember the good guy beats the snooty guy and wins the girl (hence I thought it was ski school). Sorry I don’t have more detail.

Sounds a lot like Better Off Dead (though he rejects the girl at the finish line, not in bed)
