When I was putzing around at Slate trying to avoid work (at work) I found this fun app http://www.slate.com/id/2296070/ which, if you get past the graphs and the too-obvious analysis of M. Night Shayamalan, allows you to input any director or actor and get an immediate graph of their work over the last 25 years, according to the Rotten Tomato reviewers.
I tend to hold more stock in my fellow Critickers than 85% of the film reviewers who make up RT aggregates, but it's an interesting tool to visualize, for lack of a better word, "mainstream" tastes in film artists.
Nicolas Cage's graph looks like a crack addict's heart palpitations.

Thanks!
I found Submarine through Considine. I didn't know Richard Ayoade had made a film! Went on RT because I never do, and there he is on the front page and his favourite movie is a Louis Malle and my world is now all upside-down.
It's hard to come up with people who aren't dead.

You know, I never realized the weird way in which Rotten Tomatoes freshness rating works. It's like a snapshot of how movies were received right after they came out. Odd, and very different from how Criticker works.
Also, "Best Actor" isn't a good name for it. How about "Best Career Choices"?
