I played a game called Life is Strange recently. It's sort of a narrative-lead, mystery, click on things, make decisions type of game. Aims for Twin Peaks vibes, but the drama is more Girl, Interrupted. It's set in a crusty, forested American town by the ocean—with a painterly art-style and indie-rock soundtrack.
I got into it, and miss it like I missed Freaks and Geeks.
The first episode's free on steam, and worked fine on my shitty old laptop.
