Alas, Pickpocket, at the time the #1 starred reviewer on here, was too good and pure for this website.

One of those films where when I finished it, I had to immediately watch it again. I connected with all of the characters, especially Joel, and give mad props to Jim Carrey in this film. Also, you have to be excited about Kaufman's future in this medium.
Definitely a guilty pleasure of mine. Ted is the blueprint of how to not be a man. Barney is great. The finale was so bad though. Nigga ends up with Robin? fuck outta here
A lot of men, as they grow up, realize there is something indelibly effeminate and limp-wristed about modern society compared to older ones. It's not purely their imagination, either; testosterone levels have dropped rapidly among American men, as countless medical studies have informed us. Thus, many go through a pick-up artist phase...myself included.iconogassed wrote: ↑Sat Apr 17, 2021 9:32 pmHe was quite the earnest little film fan at first but you can see a distinct shift in the tone and content of his reviews after he started reading pick-up artist stuff
This is so funny. It's the equivalent of some provincial redneck from a few decades ago imagining that city folk who listen to rock n' roll must be devil worshippers.AFlickering wrote: ↑Wed Apr 21, 2021 10:48 pmglad pickpocket fucked off, i could smell those --dude who follows ben shapiro on twitter-- vibes years before i knew who shapiro was
I can't really make heads or tails of this bizarre straw man argument, nor can I be bothered to, just thought I'd drop by to point out that rock 'n' roll was most assuredly invented by "provincial rednecks" ("a few decades ago"... like, the early oughts? The only moral uproar about music I can recall from that era concerned... The Dixie Chicks. What are you even on about?)
