Critics' 2016 Top and Bottom 10 Wide Releases

Post by MontyCircus »

I used RottenTomatoes' "Average Rating" scores and used a Bayesian average, for all films that made it into any weekend North American Top 10 box office list in 2016.

Critics' Top 10:
1.) La La Land
2.) Manchester by the Sea
3.) Arrival
4.) Hell or High Water
5.) Kubo and the Two Strings
6.) Zootopia
7.) The Revenant <-- opened in limited release in 2015, but didn't go wide until the new year
8.) Love & Friendship
9.) The Witch
10.) Moana
11.) The Jungle Book (2016) <--- added in case you don't want to count "The Revenant".

Critics' Bottom 10 (#1 is worst):
1.) Dirty Grandpa
2.) Mother's Day
3.) Gods of Egypt
4.) Collateral Beauty
5.) London Has Fallen
6.) Assassin's Creed
7.) Nine Lives (2016)
8.) Norm of the North
9.) The Divergent Series: Allegiant
10.) Fifty Shades of Black
