I like to think of Romero as a guy who stumbled upon greatness, because some of his stuff proved to be pretty meh. I'm not sure how I overlooked this one, but based off the trailer, I'm not sure I'm feeling it. The horrible thing about checking out Romero's stuff forty years later is that it might have been innovative or fresh at the time, but we've made great leaps in horror in the decades that have passed, and the writing and acting just doesn't carry it without the lens of innovation.

That's a good point. The innovation certainly adds to some of his films. Martin has relatively simple special effects compared to something like Dawn of the Dead but were still quite innovative for the time coming from Tom Savini
