Linking to one of your mini-reviews

Post by Quicky »

Ok, so you're on Facebook, Twitter, Google Talk, Skype or Windows live or whatever... and you want everyone to know you recently saw movie 'X', you want them to read your mini-review here on Criticker, and eventually you want them to register on Criticker so we all get happy ;). Everything to get traffic to Criticker is good, no? :D

So, what do you do? Well, that's obvious, no? You change your status message on some or all of these networks to "Quicky saw movie 'X' yesterday and absolutely loved it! Read my review here: ..." And then you put the URL of your mini-review there so they can read your review. Ah but wait a minute... There you're stuck of course. There currently is no way to point an url to one of your mini-reviews, and linking them to your profile doesn't necessarily mean that the 'Recent Rankings' tab will be the one opened.

So, I'm filing two feature requests:
  1. The possibility to link to a mini-review (usually one of your own I guess, but it could also be one of somebody else) in one way or another.
  2. The possibility to force your profile page to be opened with a certain tab (the 'Recent Rankings' tab in this case).

Request #2 is in reality just an easy 'fix' until #1 becomes available, since I have the feeling #1 will be much more complicated to implement than #2.

What do you guys think? Am I just a status message junkie or are there more people out there who would like to link to one of their mini-reviews here on Criticker?

I know it's not ideal, but after lots of fiddling, I came up with the always recent box link.

Here's yours:

http://www.criticker.com/?up=13244&box=rcnt

Edit:
can also sub 'rcnt' with:-
cmpr
top
star
hate

P.S.

Apparently excentric is a British form of eccentric. I've never seen the former used before, personally.

Ah great! Now I feel stupid for not having realized this was already possible! Thanks, paulofilmo ;). I think that's the page I'm going to link to for now. It's not ideal of course, especially for movies that you didn't rank recently or for posts that are supposed to be valid for a long time. For that you'd really need to be able to link to a mini-review directly.
