What I really can't understand is how the site allows to have stand-up comedy and doesn't allow me to rank TV-Shows. I read some people are against TV-Shows here, and I can understand it, but there's no way any film lover that is pro-film and anti-TV that thinks stand-up comedy deserves more place in a film site than TV-Series, or even that it has some sense.

And then with TV-Shows some of them we can, some of them we cannot... and it looks random. Even with Black Mirror, that I think should be listed here yes-or-yes, but is listed wrong. They're a set of TV-Movies, should be one profile each episode, but no, we only can rank the full series. And miniseries another issue, because there're miniseries in imdb incorrectly considered TV-Series that were cancelled, so there're some Miniseries we can rank, and some miniseries we cannot rank.

I can understand if we get purist and have just the more obvious, 100% impossible to doubt, films. But at the end this TV-Series seems to be just an awkward way to give more film consideration to stand-up comedy and some shitty short films, than TV-Series. I understand people may not consider The Sopranos "filmic" (even considering it's a great TV-Show because of the script), but come on... stand-up comedy is the less filmic experience possible.

Television has caught up to, and in some cases surpassed, current cinema. Few films come out every year that are truly gripping tour de forces. These days it feels like every network is producing a handful of shows that fit such criteria.

It would be a lot of work to implement a television section for the site, though, and the admins don't appear willing to put it in. But then, the site has barely changed in years.

This is still my top request.
Criticker gives the most accurate predictions, out of everything that I've tried. But lately, I've been using other rating sites more...simply because those list both movies and TV series.

*bump*

I would like to see this feature too, with the following caveats:

1) There should be an option to keep the film and TV PSIs and TCIs separate. (If an additional feature is provided for those who don't mind blending these, then that's best, because then it works for everyone.)

2) There should be an option in the user profile to restrict TV episode titles when searching the site.

3) There should be an option to simply mark an season/episode as "seen" without being forced to rate them. This is simply to keep track of which season/episode we are watching for each show.

If a new genre is introduced, then the points addressed in http://www.criticker.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4162 should also be considered. For as long as I've used criticker, coming up on five years, these topics have probably been the most popular discussion in Feature Requests.

It's been over a year since the last post here. Are there any news regarding tv shows on Criticker?

Maybe the upcoming new layout gives possibilities for a sort of stand-alone sub page, tv.criticker.com?

I am fairly new here after being with another rating and recommendations site for the last six years until I discovered Criticker. I have been searching the web for a solid, comprehensive site for tv show recommendations for years. It would be really nice to see Criticker implement tv shows, ideally down to ratings for seasons, episodes, specials.

How do we begin to make traction on this? I'm in full support of rating individual television series by season for starters, with the ideal being eventually able to rate it on an episode to episode basis. I know this sounds tedious for some, but I'm in this minority I suppose. So what do we do to get the gears grinding?

The catalyst for my finally asking is after seeing that HBO's 7 Days in Hell is available to be rated, which creates a severe suffering within me to rate every HBO series and season. I do it on RottenTomatoes, but that 1-5 star option is just not enough. And the filtering options on Criticker are too excellent.

Imagine a scenario where you have the option to filter each season of every HBO you've rated individually to see how they compare to one another according to your objective scale?

Who do we message? What can we do?

Just throw them in there like filmaffinity does.

Apparently I should be watching Mr. Robot (never heard of it).

This thread began in 2011 and it wasn't the first time people talked about it. I really think it would be a good idea to put it and as long as it's correctly filtered wouldn't hurt anyone.

You could just make it like the adult films. In our settings in profile we have:
- Display Location to Other Users
- Display Personal Info
- Display Adult Titles

Just like the adult you include there "Display TV Series". Everyone happy. In fact, it would be more useful than the adult titles (is there any difference actually if it's on or off? Not like there're many "adult" films here...)
