New Changes at Criticker

Post by mpowell »

As you might have already noticed, today we've introduced a lot of new changes to Criticker.

The most visible are a set of changes to inputs and forms across Criticker, to make the site more attractive and usable. More important (but less visible) is the way we store and process user information. Hopefully, you won't notice anything... we've done a lot of work to make sure that the updates are transparent on the front end. But if you find any errors, please let us know.

Minor, but it seems like every page says this at the bottom:

Warning: file_get_contents(/home/critic/public_html/inc/totalratings.inc): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/critic/public_html/include/critic_functions.php on line 990

I'm really not a fan of this new look though. :\

Minor Bug Report:

On the forums it says that every user has ranked the same number of films as me. Also, when I click on a user's name it redirects to my own profile instead of that user's.

The navigation bar (You/Explore/Resources/Forums/Games) is gone when you're on the forums. If intentional I dislike that decision. - edit #2: this one is fixed

I don't like how you now have to click You/Explore/Resources to drop it down.

Seems like the search bar no longer gives you autocomplete options when typing in a name.

Edit: on desktop

When I go to edit a mini-review, clicking on the form field makes the current review just disappear entirely.

Some films can't be viewed and give
"404 - Page Not Found

The page you're looking for doesn't exist!"

For example:
https://www.criticker.com/film/Porno-holocaust/
https://www.criticker.com/film/Onna-jig ... wa-nureta/
https://www.criticker.com/film/Nureta-y ... uichi-nin/
https://www.criticker.com/film/Monzetsu-Dondengaeshi/

Could it be that adult filter got broken? I didn't change anything in my settings.

Giving a review a star doesn't always "stick", depending, possibly, on whether it is given from the "recent kumpel activity" part of my own profile page, from a film's page, or from another user's page.

At least on game side, when I try to search the database while filtering with platform, I get "Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/critic/public_html/title_list.php on line 906"
