Bug when changing Profile Picture

Post by AverageGames »

I tried to change my profile picture today. Firstly, there appears to be an error, as after entering the new image source a clickable blank box appears next to the entry field. I'm not sure what is supposed to be there, and I'm not sure if it's supposed to be selected or not, but I'm pretty sure what is currently there is not what was intended. Secondly, the actual process of changing my image seems to have a bug. While the new image is visible as the thumbnail in the upper-right hand corner of the page and on forum posts, on my profile page the old image is still shown. I also logged in to my second account and confirmed that it is what is my old profile pic when viewed by others on my profile. An example of the two different profile pics showing up on screen at the same time is shown on the screencap below:

This is very confusing. I hope who can find a solution. And thank you for creating and running such a wonderful site :)

Update:
My forum posts used to have my new picture, however they now are showing my old picture (at least when viewed from my own account.) Things just keep getting stranger and stranger.

That does seem strange. Are you sure it's not a problem with caching? Have you tried to clear your cache, and see if your new image shows then? (Currently, I see your profile picture as the cover art to Metal Gear Solid 3).

Ah, yes. Everything seems to be correct after I cleared by browser's cache. Thanks for the help!
