I can't really pinpoint what it is, I've never found their characters believable and her acting style is very stiff. I can almost stand her when she is the villain.
I never really liked her either until I watched We Need to Talk about Kevin.

I really agree with this one. Her acting style really rubs me the wrong way. And she always acts the same annoying way, regardless of character. She seems to always be in the same type of movies too, namely Focus Features movies that move at a snail's pace. The only one I didn't mind her in was Dr. Strange, and there, just like you said, she was the villain.

You may not enjoy his work, but can't you at least appreciate how loud he screams? In all of his most acclaimed roles, he yells very very loud; does that count for nothing? And he's improved on this skill over time, which shows that he's a hard worker. Listen to his screaming in something like The Basketball Diaries as opposed to his more recent and refined work such as The Revenant--his decibel level has increased exponentially.
22. Will Smith -- this guy's idea of dramatic acting is scrunching his face up like he's smelling a rancid fart. He was great in Ali and I don't exactly hate him, but I just don't understand what he's doing most of the time.
