Criticker dismiss a film as a TV episode

Post by fabiovisnadi »

Hello. I am trying to add this film but Criticker says it won't allow any individual episodes. It happens that this is a film with a theatrical release and not a TV show. Could you fix it for me? Thank you.

Thanks for pointing this out -- a few others have sent emails as well, so it seems there's an issue in the submission process. We've got a bug open about it, and will hopefully be fixing it up soon.

Thanks again! We'll update here once we get it working again.

Got the same thing while trying to add the tv show You vs. Wild

When I click "Continue", it brings the error message but it's changing the IMDB ID to "tt1004495"

It seems Criticker accepted this film as a TV episode. I guess it has to do with new films added in IMDB that has one more number in its code. Example: this one is tt10097752, but Criticker accepted as tt1009775.

I tried the same thing with a film by Jean-Claude Brisseau I recently added in IMDB and Criticker doesn't accept it because identify it as a TV episode.

I think it is not a difficult feature to fix. Criticker should just start to accept films recently added in IMDB, which has one more number in its code.

@mpowell:
This thread should be moved from the feature request section to the bug section.

Has this been fixed in the meanwhile ?

Don't be an ass. You are not entitled to a speedy response to your "suggestions" (and just because they haven't been responded to yet doesn't mean they haven't been read). This site requires a lot of work to maintain and it is not the full-time occupation of the admins, who have jobs and families. Stop whining.
