Pickle shop owning couple Kazim (Munir Ozkul) and Saadet (Adile Nasit) share their six children and go their own ways, after a final dispute over whether lemon juice or vinegar is the key component of pickle making. Kazim's mischievous but harmless brother Ziya (Sener Sen), who has been secretly keeping in touch with both sides of the family, reintroduces the divided siblings many years later.
