Taner (Bülent Çolak) plans to propose to his girlfriend Svetlana (Irina Ivkina) at Bircanlar Restaurant. Hannibal Sevket (Sadi Celil Cengiz), a flirtatious cook of the restaurant, falls in love with Svetlana and wants to prevent this marriage.

A dramatic story of a 10 year old child, Fuat, who lost his parents during a fire in Istanbul of 1945. Fuat's father Ali had apperantly left his home in Üsküp, today's Skopje in North Macedonia years ago following major disagreements with his brother Macit. Young Fuat learns the presence of his uncle Macit and aunts Aliye and Nur in Üsküp from an old letter from his grandfather to his father, found in a wooden box left from the fire.
