Story begins a rather psychologically tormenting scene depicting the daily routine of husband Yusuf and wife Süsen. Both drunk and high, they enter their dingy house on the economically lower side of İzmir as they shout at the top of their lungs. She tells him Zahit will come back from the mountains and kill Yusuf, and Yusuf curses her and her brother. The banter continues with all the love-hate dynamics that a married couple can possibly muster and ends with passionate love-making. (Today's Zaman)
Based on a true story, the film is about a man who has committed murder and is therefore hiding in a mine.
