Biography: Gates McFadden primarily works in television and is best known for playing Dr. Beverly Crusher on the TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation (1987-1994), but she has also done some film work, beyond the Star Trek film series. McFadden began as Muppeteer, movement coordinator and choreographer on Henson productions like The Dark Crystal (1982) and Labyrinth (1986). McFadden also made her film debut in The Muppets Take Manhattan (1984).
