Rahul and Anjali were best friends at college. Anjali realizes that she has fallen for Rahul but is too late, since Rahul has already fallen for Tina. Heartbroken, Anjali leaves and Tina and Rahul get married. They soon have a daughter, but Tina passes away due to complications during her pregnancy. The daughter is named after Anjali.
