Biography: Karl Urban is the son of a leather goods manufacturer. His first acting role was when he was 8. Later, he was offered a role in the NZ drama "Shortland Street" (1992) and left to pursue his acting career. Urban landed several theater roles and a number of guest roles in NZ television followed. His biggest roles yet are √Čomer in the Lord of the Rings trilogy and Bones in Star Trek (2009).
