The Sky Crawlers
Kannami Yuichi is a fighter pilot who is newly transferred to Urisu Base to replace a pilot who died in battle. Yuichi strangely does not age like normal people would, and the base commanding officer Kusanagi Suito seems to have the same ability. They are revealed to be Kildren, a group of ageless adolescent pilots who are genetically-created to engage in endless dogfights between two companies, Rostock and Lautern. (nihonreview.com)

Samurai Cop
A womanizing super samurai cop and his black side-kick go after the Yakuza. This film is bad..REALLY bad, it's also pretty damn funny. Matt Hannon stars as the samurai cop who looks more like a gay poolboy in the best movie of his long varied career of one film. Robert Z'dar (Maniac Cop) is the right-hand man of the bad guy. Definately a guilty pleasure movie with it's jaw-droppingly insanely stupid dialog, the horrible "action", the unneeded flamingly gay waiter. (imdb)

Turning Gate
This low key, insightful, and ultimately devastating film quietly observes a callow young man in his search for love. Utterly ill-equipped for the challenge, he bounces from one encounter to another, hoping that he'll find the connection to life that's missing in his life, but instead, he causes pain wherever he goes in his self-absorbed quest. When he finally utters the words "I love you" they are hollow and come immediately after his admission of dishonesty, manipulation and deception. (imdb)
