0% The Maize: The Movie The Maize: The Movie (2004) - Rated 27 Apr 2009
"The Maize is the non-sequel to Dark Harvest - a delightful b-movie. The Maize is not. The Maize is barely a movie. The Maize is the worst movie I have ever seen. The Maize was written, directed and performed in by one man, Bill Cowell, who's greatest achievement is filming a corn field for two hours and then getting a DVD release of his corn movie. Features: some guy in yellow boots, corn, digging in mud (for ten minutes), corn, two girls screaming (for ten minutes), corn, a dog. Shit."

"This movie is absolutely fantastic in just about every way possible. The fact that one man, Sir Tommy Wiseau, managed to write, direct and then star in this masterpiece says much about the enormous talent and savvy this man possesses. This is a latter-day Citizen Kane that should have effectively changed the face of film-making forever, the only reason it didn't is because those who watched it were too scared of the impact this movie could've had, so it remains a lost gem. OH HI MARK!"

"This..."movie"...is tied with Dark Harvest 2: The Maize as my worst movie of all time. Utterly horrible in every conceivable way. No acting, no plot, no editing, no quality control, no cinematography, nothing. This movie is about a bunch of nameless people interspliced with shitty shots of a butcher shop involving some guy who likes to put earthworms on girls or some shit that was filmed out of some guy's asshole. And this is being generous. This a movie in only the loosest sense."

"Very strange and surreal film with a definite Lynch feel as you go through Jack's life and experiences. It feels a lot like Eraserhead without the disturbing scenes and afterward you wonder what you just watched."

"From the same writer and director that brought us Watership Down comes another bleak story about animals trying to survive in the wild. The two leads are excellent as the hopeful Snitter and the downtrodden Rowf who try to survive in the Scottish (?) wilderness after escaping from a horrifying animal experimentation lab. An amazing story brought to life by Martin Rosen, another excellent animated film for adults that also exposes the horrors of animal experimentation. Must-watch."
