Sucker Punch (2011) - Rated 28 Mar 2011
"Hmm. I loved the first steampunk scene with girls fighting (Charlie's Angels, learn!!), and the grotesque nightclub was top knotch, as were the characters in there (the cook, the mayor). Sadly, the movie lost its tempo in the middle and got lost in action sequences, which (while being good) turn the focus away from the main story and make it look like a cheap 3D action film. The ending was okay though. All in all - okay, but no cigar."

"Meh. While I appreciate the effort put into displaying the beautiful, savage Roman-era Britain and the order and the discipline of the Roman army (I actually felt some shivers when the Romans formed the Testudo), the battles are messy and unauthentic, the main characters shallow and the story full of holes. Too bad, as the scenery, props and equipment was top knotch."
