"The acting is good, but I am not a fan of the adaptation. The narrator provides far too much of the information, and often it feels like they're just filling in chunks by reading from the book. Making the narrator into a 'voice of God' also doesn't play out in any meaningful way. The ending is also meandering and points towards an unnecessary sequel."
