40 13% Knives Out (2019) - Feb 26, 2020
"Exhausting. opens up introducing the family as if it's going to be an ensemble film, but we never learn anything about them after that and most of them mostly disappear. They're to-a-person horribly drawn characters. It feels like lots of their screentime ended up cut. Plummer is good, but a lot of the louder acting wears - especially Evans. The pacing is all off; information is just dumped on the audience when it needs to be - too much at the beginning and the end and not enough in between. "
50 28% The Sisters Brothers (2018) - Feb 20, 2020
50 28% Force Majeure (2014) - Feb 19, 2020
"An odd mix of dramatic subject matter and comedic tone that works in moments, but never as a whole film."
40 13% Captain Marvel (2019) - Feb 16, 2020
"Larson is the only good thing in this rote, retread origin story. The plot feels done a thousand times, the supporting characters are bland and one-dimensional, the films biggest concern seems to be constantly reminding us that it takes place in 1995. "
20 2% Away We Go (2009) - Feb 06, 2020
"This is so bad. Sitcom-level parodies of people combined with no energy. "
40 13% Bees Make Honey (2017) - Feb 05, 2020
"Plays like a good demo where the director can showcase his style and I even like the mannered performances, but the story doesn't work and occupies a lot of the film."
60 53% Spider-Man: Far from Home (2019) - Feb 04, 2020
"The teens-go-to-Europe half of the movie is so much better than the stop-the-villain half."
