The Avengers (2012) - Rated 15 May 2012
"The Avengers is the Marvel film that had all the potential in the world to totally fail under a standard director's pen. Luckily, Joss Whedon's two and a half hour epic represents classic Marvel characters in a positive light without cluttering the story with pointless cliches. The final battle feels a tad prolonged, Loki also seems to lose direction by the end, but the entire film stays afloat with great casting, special effects and typical Whedon dialogue. Excellent way to kick off the summer."
