"I walked into this film with low expectations, however I was pleasantly surprised. Usually films based on true stories are trash to me but this one was one of the gems in that genre. The acting was great, with specifically great performances from Kevin Spacey, Jim Sturgess, Kate Bosworth & Laurence Fishburne. The plot was engaging and exiting and overall I really enjoyed the film."

"Frankly, this was a refreshing break from the repetitive aspect of The Simpsons. Matt Groenings signature charm and style of comedy was captured really well. And despite me watching the first two episodes and going "Eh, it was just OK..." I then binged the entire series in two days, I was hooked and the series did what many TV shows and films have been failing to do in recent years: Leave you wanting more. Many shows really don't do this anymore by giving us poorly written/performed endings."

"Although not being written amazingly, I still loved this film as a child. The sci-fi aspects really drew me in and still would, however as I said it was pretty poorly written."

"Do I need say much? Despite the reviews I went and watched this is because of my love for Greek Mythology, however the Mythology was butchered to suit Hollywood."

"To be perfectly honest, I remember none of this film save the basic plot and I don't care enough to find and rewatch it. But I do remember enjoying it a fair amount when as a child."

"In my opinion this is one of the weaker films and one of the weaker books in the series, which isn't entirely their fault. It's more a law of film-making these days: Children can't act for sh*t. The plot had many holes in both adaptations however apart from that, it wasn't inherently bad"

"As much of an LSD trip this film was it brought waves of childhood nostalgia back to me. The plot was decent with a good performance from most of the cast, bringing classic 80's-90's charm to the film."

"The films only really 'good' quality was the star cast. However it just wasn't engaging and the characters weren't likable enough, save Jack Black's character, who was at least somewhat likable. But it really just dragged on, at 105 minutes it felt like 150 while in the cinema watching it. "
