65 27% Mr. and Mrs. Smith (2005) - Apr 09, 2020
"Totally average popcorn flick but for it's leads, both of whom outshine the material."
45 11% Onward (2020) - Apr 06, 2020
"Dead parent is the entire plot impetus- classic Disney. It's pretty much as mediocre as everything Pixar has done since Toy Story 3, except that this also has Chris Pratt's insufferable obnoxious self in it. His goofyness was amusing in GotG, but he overdoes it by about a million percent here, and he's spent the last few years oversaturating the market."
30 5% Step Brothers (2008) - Apr 03, 2020
"Was this really the state of comedy in 2008?"
70 35% Deadly Prey (1987) - Apr 03, 2020
"Hilariously entertaining Z-grade Rambo."
55 16% Universal Soldier (1992) - Apr 02, 2020
"Pretty bland Robocop wannabe. Much more of a blockbuster style enterprise than I was expecting, but not a very good one."
65 27% Blood Beat (1985) - Mar 29, 2020
80 54% Solaris (2002) - Mar 28, 2020
"By the end I was expecting the final shot to be a spinning top wobbling on a table - cut to black. "
70 35% Trancers (1985) - Mar 22, 2020
"Shockingly good for something to come out of the Chuck Band/Full Moon oeuvre, and everything you could possibly want out of a no-budget rip-off of Blade Runner and The Terminator with some zombies thrown in for good measure."
65 27% The Exterminator (1980) - Mar 14, 2020
"This an incompetent technical disaster, but an ambitious one for sure. There's a bonkers Vietnam prologue with Hueys flying through fireballs, a vigilante vet with a flamethrower, a meat grinder, and NYC looking like a 3rd world ghetto. Glickenhaus did a better job with McBain, but this is the one to go for if you really want the grindhouse/exploitation vibes."
80 54% The Dirty Dozen (1967) - Mar 08, 2020
"Great bit of entertainment, but overshadowed by it's contemporaries. The overlong training segment is an indigent's 'The Great Escape', and as exciting as the final raid is, I'd be inclined to recommend 'Where Eagles Dare' over this for a thrilling infiltration mission."
