"Review I should make: I thought maybe revisiting this would show me one of my favorite childhood cinematic staples was oversweetened by nostalgia, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a maturely themed and immaculately paced film remained in the place where my younger counterpart found only DINOSAWRS. Weighty ideas surrounded by great actors, unforgettable music, and exceptional use of camerawork and narrative buildup. Review I made: DUN DUN DA-DUN-DA DA DA DA DUN DUN DUN DAAAAAA"
86 79% Rocky (1976) - Rated 29 Jun 2015
"An underdog story that felt a little more real than I expected it to. They really don't sugarcoat his performance a lot or how down and out he is, and I like it more for that."
70 38% Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone (2008) - Rated 04 Jun 2015
"Fluid and beautiful animation but the pacing in this was so bad. Killed my action boner every few minutes and then had me watch an angsty teen unfocusedly mope while adults never talk to him or develop why they do what they do."
84 71% Ravenous (1999) - Rated 04 Jun 2015
"A delicious mix of black comedy and dead serious cannibal drama. Way better than I ever expected."
30 1% Saw: The Final Chapter (2010) - Rated 04 Jun 2015
"Watch as a man is unable to save his panicky friends in boring Spy Kids 3D-esque 3D! Gawk at the horror of the editing and flashback filters! Gasp as the writers have wet bowel movements on the script and then publish! Wonder how Tobin Bell can still be the best part of this!"
70 38% The Cheshire Murders (2013) - Rated 29 May 2015
"It tries to tout itself as questioning the causes and potential stoppers of the brutal murders, but spends more time trying to make you gawk at the brutality of the events or debate the death penalty, which weakens the whole thing overall."
88 90% Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills (1996) - Rated 27 May 2015
"Death is scary. Change is scary. And when they come together, what people will do to feel better is even scarier."
74 46% The Secret World of Arrietty (2010) - Rated 25 May 2015
"Beautiful animation and an eye for detail in a small world that will make you fall in love with it, but nothing really happens."
