Bio: Hi, everybody. My name\'s Benjamin, I\'m 29, and I\'m a fellow movie lover. I started a movie blog on blogger.com back in early 2013 and after a year of that, I created my website http://silverscreenfanatic.com/. I review both current movies (which will also be posted here), but I also have segments Monday and Tuesday where I do vintage reviews of both great films from the past and utter train wrecks. Who doesn\'t like to rip into a bad movie? Feel free to swing by, subscribe and comment. I\'ve always loved film and talking about them with others. My top five films of all-time are The Godfather, The Wizard of Oz, Jaws, The Empire Strikes Back and Pulp Fiction. I also write screenplays on my spare time. Outside of movies I\'m a huge roller coaster nut. I also enjoy sports, and despite the fact that all four professional teams I root for are currently in the midst of a rebuild, I remain loyal. I have a dog too, Daisy Duke, easily the most laid back Jack Russell I\'ve ever seen in my life. Anyway, looking forward to chatting with you guys about movies!

25 45% Ride Along (2014) - Rated 04 Sep 2014
"The jokes fall flat and some overstay their welcome, even long after I concluded they weren't funny to begin with. With a supporting cast that features the likes of John Leguizamo, Bruce McGill and Laurence Fishburne, this is a group of talented individuals thrown into a predictable and lazy attempt at a comedy that, save a few laughs, isn't funny. 50 65% The Nut Job (2014) - Rated 04 Sep 2014
"While there are some laughs and the animation's lively and what we pretty much expect from animated films today, there's not much here to keep adults entertained. Children may get a kick out of the animal characters, and there are some decent themes of teamwork and loyalty that you can't say are bad to promote to kids. Overall, though, it's an interesting idea from a much better animated short that doesn't translate to feature-length as well as it could've. Review source"
65 75% Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014) - Rated 04 Sep 2014
"All in all, this isn't breaking any ground in the spy-thriller genre. The writing could've been better, but the cast and Branagh's edge of your seat direction, more often than not, elevate the sometimes simplistic, by the books material. It doesn't scream "Rush out and see me now!", but I've already seen much, much, much worse this month and for what it was, I had a fun time. Review source: silverscreenfanatic.com"
20 35% Devil's Due (2014) - Rated 04 Sep 2014
"Devil's Due is obviously meant to be ridiculous, but aside from a couple of effective thrills, this is just another recycled "pregnant with the Devil" story inside another lame attempt at the found-footage concept. You can overlook the plot holes 'cause this film is naturally supposed to be as plausible as grass being purple. However, this film is devoid of any genuine creeps or scares, so what exactly are we left with? Review source: silverscreenfanatic.com"
90 85% Bull Durham (1988) - Rated 04 Sep 2014
"It's an unconventional sports comedy, but it's one of the wittiest, sexiest, authentic and smartly written baseball films ever made with a perfect "anti-climatic" ending. Along with three terrific performances from Costner, Sarandon and Robbins (backed up by a funny supporting cast), Bull Durham will have you laughing and also make you think about what really goes on in those catcher-pitcher meetings during actual baseball games. 10% Bigfoot (2012) - Rated 04 Sep 2014
"What you see is what you get here: special effects that look like they predate a Windows 95 screensaver, cringe-inducing dialogue, a total production budget of about $5.38, and the forever tarnishing of even a sweet-natured creature like Harry Henderson. You can't beat this film over the head too much, though, 'cause if you're expecting anything more than what it is, then - well, why would you? Review source: silverscreenfanatic.com"
10 25% The Legend of Hercules (2014) - Rated 04 Sep 2014
"The acting is abysmal, the dialogue is laughably cheesy, the special effects look like they were purchased from a Dollar General and the fight sequences are obnoxiously repetitive. If you wanna give this a watch, be my guest. You might even get to avoid a ticket price 'cause I guarantee you this film will be in a Redbox and Wal-Mart checkout lane near you before I even finish this review. 100 95% The Godfather (1972) - Rated 04 Sep 2014
"Francis Ford Coppola's masterful direction combined with Mario Puzo's riveting story, Nino Rota and Carmine Coppola's stirring and memorable score, Gordon Willis's breathtaking cinematography, the universally spectacular performances, what more needs to be said, people?! Even with a running time that's just shy of three hours, the story, narrative and richly written characters have you so captivated, you don't even feel the length of time go by. Review source: silv"
10% The Room (2003) - Rated 04 Sep 2014
"Films like Troll 2 and Plan 9 From Outer Space are bad, but you can automatically tell you're in for something ridiculous with those films from the get-go. The Room takes itself and its ADD storyline so seriously, it exceeds all other best-worst films by a mile, light years even. I've now seen this film three times and with each viewing it gets more ridiculous and funny. In the end, I just enjoy the incomprehensible question mark of a car wreck that it is. 30 55% Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones (2014) - Rated 04 Sep 2014
"While there are some comical moments involving Jesse discovering his newfound powers that work, and the change of setting is nice, this is just more of the same that we've seen again and again and again from this film series. Then that third act reared its ugly head and tried to go for a "tie it all together from a different perspective" ending (you'll know it when you see it) that's nothing short of eye-rolling, "Are you kidding me?!" awful.
