"One of my favourite films ever. Everything about it is perfect. Acting, scripting, filming, direction, sound, lighting. All of its perfect and it's such a funny film."
89 35% Cloverfield (2008) - Rated 28 Apr 2009
"Love this film. The way it's presented is brilliant and it feels like you're part of the action."
87 25% Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest (2006) - Rated 28 Apr 2009
"The plot and story are long and complex and ALOT happens between the start and finish and when you think back at the end at what you've just watched you've realised that you didn't take much in. Still it's a good film, the acting is great the soundtrack is amazing and the action scenes are plentiful. Although it doesn't have the same feel as the first film does. They really overdid it on the CGI and special effects and hardly any of it was real sets or props so it lost the feeling of reality."
70 5% Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within (2001) - Rated 28 Apr 2009
"I'd seen the other one and saw this was on TV so thought I may as well watch it. I've played little to none of the Final Fantasy games so the film didn't seem very Final Fatasylike at all from what I've seen of the games. It started off slow but then got better as it progressed. The visuals were really good and sometimes made you forget you were watching an animated film. I enjoyed it much more than Advent Children and am glad I watched it."
94 45% Happy Gilmore (1996) - Rated 28 Apr 2009
"Really funny film. Great acting, good pacing. And lots of laugh out loud moments."
97 75% Hot Fuzz (2007) - Rated 28 Apr 2009
"Ever since I saw the first 'viral' trailer on the internet I got hooked and couldn't wait for the film to come out. I never thought anything could top Simon Pegs and Nick Frosts performances from when they did Shaun of the Dead. So I was pleasantly surprised when I came out of the cinema grinning and thoroughly please with how amazing the film was. It just has the perfect mix of comedy, horror, action and more comedy in a film. So anything that mixes all my favourite genres together must be good"
80 15% Click (2006) - Rated 28 Apr 2009
"Really witty and clever comedy. It had a really deep message about how you should enjoy every little bit of life and take it as slow as it comes. There were quite a few moments where I laughed out loud as it reached it's emotional ending. Although they did take the easy way out when the story turns for worse as it was all a dream. Even though they did do that, they made it work and showed how the whole event made him take a look at his life and change it for the better."
99 95% [Rec] (2007) - Rated 28 Apr 2009
"There are loads of moments that make you jump and unlike most films where it's really predictable they seem to know the right moments to catch you off guard. And like I said that final scene is just. AAARRRRGGGGGGGGHHHH Go watch it now. If you dare"
98 85% Fight Club (1999) - Rated 28 Apr 2009
"Really good film. Gripping story and great acting. Edward Norton acts amazingly well as does Brad Pitt and create very real and believable characters. It did get quite confusing towards the end and I'm still not sure if I understood it correctly. But nevertheless it's an amazingly well done film. Certainly in my top five movies and I recommend it to everyone."
95 55% The Fall (2008) - Rated 28 Apr 2009
"Such an amazing film. It's great to have another film that has little (if any) special effects in it and the visuals are stunning. The scripting also seemed to flow nicely and nothing seems unreal about it. Such a sweet and charming film and takes you away from the real world. This is of course helped by the fantastic musical score which perfectly fits in with the scenes and helps bring out more depth in the film. Definitely worth viewing and I highly recommend it."
