90 70% The Great Dictator (1940) - Rated 11 Apr 2014
"Daring for its time, I'll agree. This is slapstick humor pointing and laughing at the things that, while we're free to make fun of today, was incredibly NOT in Chaplin's time. You have to give him points for that, not to mention the speech at the end that just drove the point home: Yes, the film was a comedy. But it was made to illustrate the image of war in a way that the American public could identify with, which was comedy. The movie sends a message throughout the humor and it was beautiful."
88 60% Now You See Me (2013) - Rated 11 Apr 2014
"Interesting, great visual effects, and a plot with so many twists that the title is actually accurate in regards to the film."
87 47% Iron Man 2 (2010) - Rated 11 Apr 2014
"Considered to be the weakest link in the trilogy, although it still comes off as enjoyable. It's not the original, that's for sure, but it's a different and interesting take when we find out that Tony has daddy issues which, while watered down as compared to 616!Howard who was a drunk and abusive bastard to his son, is still justified by the fact that MCU!Howard was a neglectful ass. The opening scene was a delight and the bird added comic relief, so I'd say it was actually quite respectable."
93 85% Iron Man (2008) - Rated 11 Apr 2014
"This is the film that has singlehandedly revived Marvel's movie franchise, Robert Downey Jr.'s credibility as an actor, Iron Man's own status as a superhero, and superhero films in general. It is not even possible to deny the awesomeness of this movie anymore. It delves into the character development of Tony Stark, further cementing the last line that he IS Iron Man, and that he deserves to say so. This is his mantle, aliases be damned, he's going to take it. Spec-fucking-tacular."
86 35% Rise of the Guardians (2012) - Rated 11 Apr 2014
"*shrugs* Good movie, interesting characters that they didn't flesh out, and a villain who wasn't all that threatening. The animation, however, is the absolute top notch. Look at Jack's frost! Look at Jack's Adam's apple! Look at Jack's veins! Great for kids and keen-eyed viewers who love getting involved with the detail of a film."
86 35% Mean Girls (2004) - Rated 11 Apr 2014
"A cult classic: Mean Girls, who hasn't watched it? This is Tina Fey at her most devil-may-care, which basically just means fun for everyone involved. It's great for nights with the girls, or with people who you make good time with. A feel-good movie that's not all about feeling good is how I'd describe it, really."
79 7% White Chicks (2004) - Rated 11 Apr 2014
"I don't know about what it says about me that I would willing watch this movie again and laugh, but I assume it means nothing good. The movie is plenty stupid and immature, but I'm also plenty stupid and immature so we match. It has comedy and a great deal of ridiculous to go along with it - so what? I recommend this for people who don't care, are drunk, just want a good laugh and refuse to get butthurt just because they liked it."
93 85% How to Train Your Dragon (2010) - Rated 11 Apr 2014
"Great movie with solid voices - look no further for Jay Baruchel's epic yet brief imitation of a Scottish accent. With awesome animation and graphics, an interesting plot and setting, humorous characters, AND DRAGONS, it's a recommendation from me for people who love animation, imagination, good fun, and comedic sarcastic remarks. Also good for people who love animals, apparently."
