"a successful and fun comedy, the movie within a movie idea spring boarded lots of the parody about war films and the movie industry which added depth. performances were all round solid with special mention to rdj and tom cruise."

"the addition of samuel l jacksons' character breathed new life into the third installment as did the new yourk city setting which was captured effectively. action scenes were fun and so was the jackson/willis relationship which felt genuine and not conceited. Though jeremy irons did essentially the same thing as alan rickman just on a bigger scale his character didn't feel stale. the cat mouse game which die hard has always been about is also made fresh."

"the movie is pretty weak, the dialogue is stiff as a board and sadly the action sequences don't pick up the slack. Performances are forgettable and Hayden Christensen's is one you'll want to forget. Its hard to quantify how much of his performance is a result of the script, either way both were disappointing. Forced romance was awkward and even cringe worthy. however due to mere fact its Star Wars and i love the franchise i can forgive the films quality, only just."

"sci fi done well, was especially appealing to me as i was a fan of firefly. The characters are varied and interesting and the plot carries its weight as well. Visually impressive especially considering its relatively low budget for an action/sci-fi."

"one might think this is just another apatow stoner comedy which for the most part it is, however if found charm in the 'buddy' relationship between rogen and franco's characters. the comedy is pretty successful for the most part. it has been a while since having watched pineapple express however, possibly tastes have changed."
