"Pleasantville is an interesting and unique movie in many ways. It explores themes such as 50's racism and gender roles. While I enjoyed this movie, it lacked a revelation that would push it over the edge. The movies ambition outweighs its depth, but still the movie is a worthwhile 2 hours."

"Nightcrawler is a very good thriller/character study. We follow sociopath- verging on psychopath, Lou Bloom as he builds his own business. His business being the filming of violent crime scenes for sale to local news stations. It's tone reminds me of movies like American Psycho and Natural Born Killers, although slightly more tame. The movie does have serious points about America's love of all things violent. "If it bleeds, it leads.""

"A classic that just about everybody has seen and for good reason. For my taste, it gets slightly too sentimental in parts, but for a movie geared towards kids the tone is great. Effects have come a long way, but I'll take E.T. over 99% of science fiction movies being made today."
