100 89% Predator (1987) - Sep 11, 2015
"Dutch (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a soldier of fortune, is hired by the U.S. government to secretly rescue a group of politicians trapped in Guatemala. But when Dutch and his team, which includes weapons expert Blain (Jesse Ventura) and CIA agent George (Carl Weathers), land in Central America, something is gravely wrong. After finding a string of dead bodies, the crew discovers they are being hunted by a brutal creature with superhuman strength and the ability to disappear into its surroundings."
98 76% One Fine Day (1996) - Aug 17, 2015
"One Fine Day is one fun film. Among the main things it has going for it are Michelle Pfeiffer and George Clooney, a romantic-comedy couple straight from Central Casting's Heavenly Babe Department. These top-of-the-line symbols appear here as Melanie Parker and Jack Taylor, an architect and a newspaper columnist, both formerly married."
95 60% Blind Fury (1989) - Sep 15, 2015
"He may be blind, but Nick Parker (Rutger Hauer) has a way with a sword. The Vietnam vet pays a visit to an old war buddy, Frank Deveraux (Terrance O'Quinn), only to discover that his friend is in deep trouble. Gangsters have killed Frank's wife (Meg Foster) and are holding him hostage in Reno, Nev. Making a narrow escape with Frank's young son (Brandon Call), Nick heads across the country to even the score. Needless to say, his opponents underestimate him -- and his sword skills."
100 89% The Perfect Storm (2000) - Sep 15, 2015
"Based on a true story, the film tells of the courageous men and women who risk their lives every working day, pitting their fishing boats and rescue vessels against the capricious forces of nature. Their worst fears are realized at sea on Halloween of 1991, when they are confronted by three raging weather fronts which unexpectedly collide to produce the greatest, fiercest storm in modern history -- "The Perfect Storm.""
100 89% The Bourne Supremacy (2004) - Aug 20, 2015
"Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) is living in India when he is framed by Russian agent Kirill (Karl Urban) for the theft of millions from the CIA. Kirill begins to pursue Bourne, intending to assassinate him -- but while Bourne and his girlfriend, Marie (Franka Potente), are on the run, a shot meant for him kills her instead. Vowing revenge, Bourne sets out to prove his innocence and bring the culprits to justice, but he has to evade CIA head Pamela Landry (Joan Allen), who is convinced he is guilty."
99 79% Lincoln (2012) - Aug 26, 2015
"Lincoln, flaws and all, is a wonderful film filled with the passion that makes America great and the scars that make our political process questionable. Spielberg and his team don't set out to paint a picture of a perfect man, but a man that strove to make a country better and those that joined him and opposed him in the process. It's this presentation that makes it such an enjoyable film."
100 89% Sleeping Beauty (1959) - Sep 10, 2015
"I didn't mind Aurora sleeping for half of the film. Been years since I saw this, but I do remember loving it a great deal. What I remember was having a magical feeling while watching it. If I remembered correctly, the climax played greatly between the gloomy situations with the light of magic brightening the way towards something positive. Unfortunately, due to Disney recent 3D trend makes miss the day where they were considered the pioneer in animation."
95 60% The One (2001) - Aug 29, 2015
"A sheriff's deputy fights an alternate universe version of himself who grows stronger with each alternate self he kills."
100 89% Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011) - Aug 29, 2015
"Kung Fu Panda charmed family audiences and kung-fu fans alike, largely on the appeal of three things: (a) Jack Black's wide-eyed fanboy mugging as Po, a roly-poly panda who loves kung fu and is improbably chosen to become the Dragon Warrior; (b) Dustin Hoffman's gruff but vulnerable mentor, the tiny red panda Master Shifu; and (c) a witty, occasionally inspired send-up of kung-fu movie conventions. "
96 72% Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted (2012) - Sep 15, 2015
"Animal pals Alex (Ben Stiller), Marty (Chris Rock), Melman (David Schwimmer) and Gloria (Jada Pinkett Smith) are still trying to make it back to New York's Central Park Zoo. They are forced to take a detour to Europe to find the penguins and chimps who broke the bank at a Monte Carlo casino. When French animal-control officer Capitaine Chantel DuBois (Frances McDormand) picks up their scent, Alex and company are forced to hide out in a traveling circus."
