The Silence of the Lambs (1991) - Rated 23 Oct 2015
"Excellent movie, with great pacing & performances and a truly unsettling depiction of how chilling and alien true psychopathy can be. This point is both assisted & hamstrung by a creepy but hammy performance by Hopkins. Lector helps convey the impression of a murderous world out there most people would rather not dwell on, but the contrast with Bill's brutality and Lector's control doesn't feel fully explored. Ultimately, though, the film is tightly constructed and elevated via its sordidity."
