"An imaginative fantasy film with superb animation and extremely catchy music. However, I hate movies that have an unnecessary amount of musical material as it spoils the movie for me. The music and visuals also attempt to mask the uninspired plot development, but it can easily be seen through."

"I was rather surprised at this movie, it was actually quite an enjoyable film. An extremely simple yet rather effective storyline, some great Wallace & Gromit style animation, and a feast of likeable characters. A decent film for the whole family."

"Poor acting, some lousy dialogue and it's unnecessarily long in length. However, the thing I loathe most about this movie is how it's based entirely on America. A film about an invasion from aliens should affect the whole world and the whole world should band together to stop it. But no, it's all about America. I suppose it's a good film for Americans to feel patriotic about, but it's rather annoying to anyone else."

"The comedy in this movie is rather predictable but somewhat funny, it isn't really a memorable movie, and to create a comedy movie on the sport of bowling is also rather bizzare. However Murray's performance in this movie is just great."

"A pretty average adventure movie with nothing to make this movie really stand out. The plot was way off the book at points as some key scenes were unfortunately missed out. Very poorly acted with flat characters if you haven't read the book and there were too many unnecessary action scenes."
