Bio: I\'m a sucker for fantasy/magical world movies, even if they\'re ow-budget or campy. Just look at my movie list and you\'ll see what I mean. I\'m hear to hopefully find out about more movies like these, because Amazon hasn\'t been much help.

96 75% Stardust (2007) - Rated 18 Oct 2008
"This movie was really cute and charming. The plot is a little quick-paced, but still quite smooth. It had a lot going on and you sort of jump right into it, so you learn the nature of the fantasy world as you go. You'll find surprises around every corner!"
94 50% The Princess Bride (1987) - Rated 18 Oct 2008
"Romantic, funny, adventurous...This is a classic, for sure!"
80 15% Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (2002) - Rated 18 Oct 2008
"I think I may dislike this installment the most of all the Potter films. The plot was lacking and a lot of it seemed pointless. This may be one of the ones where you're better off being reading the book than seeing the movie, because I have read parts of the book, and from what I've collected the book seems more worth it with this one. But that's not definite, of course. To each their own."
87 35% Eragon (2006) - Rated 18 Oct 2008
"Can't say I loved this film, but I did thoroughly enjoy it and plan to induct it as a member of my beloved fantasy film collection. There is a lot about this movie that does seem rather campy, cliche, or even cheap, but just go with it and you'll enjoy it."
95 65% Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (2004) - Rated 18 Oct 2008
"Probably my second favorite Potter film, next to the fifth movie. It had a different feel to it than any of the previous movies. The pacing was really well done, especially the inclining rush as it neared the climax."
20 5% The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) - Rated 18 Oct 2008
"Usually I LOVE fantasy movies. But this one's definitely an exception. I never made it through the whole thing without falling asleep because it's incredibly slow-paced, and quite boring. I think they try to hard to make it dramatic and theatrical, but it somehow winds up less entertaining. They were going for an epic storyline, I guess, but to me it's just drawn-out and confusing. I walked away thinking "I want three hours of my life back.""
85 25% Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (2001) - Rated 18 Oct 2008
"It's very good, and a classic!"
99 95% The Golden Compass (2007) - Rated 18 Oct 2008
"This movie is awesome!! The story is truly unique and fascinating. The characters are memorable and I found myself getting attached to them quickly. I also love the introduced concept of animal souls, which are present throughout the film."
94 50% The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian (2008) - Rated 18 Oct 2008
"I think the first Narnia might have been a little better. This is more of a personal thing to me, though, because Mr. Tunmus was my favorite character. It was odd how Peter and Edmund swapped personality roles and they never really explained why. It was also odd that they introduced humans residents of the Narnia world. Wasn't the point of the first one that the kids were the first humans to enter Narnia? The only thing that this movie has got on the first one is the epic battle scene!"
98 85% The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (2005) - Rated 18 Oct 2008
"I love this movie! The story and the world it revolves around is fascinating and every scene left me thirsty for more. This may be one of those movies where it's best NOT to read the book before watching, because I have heard that some CS Lewis readers left the theater dissapointed, but I never read the book and I love this movie!"
