"The reason this film is good is because you are rooting for WALL-E nonstop."

"Everyone says this is a mind "you-know-what". And that's true. The part I like best is it raises Matrix-level questions. Is this real?"
93 59% The Perks of Being a Wallflower (2012) - Rated 08 Sep 2015
"You really root for Charlie in this because he's mature and loving. He had some shitty things happen to him but learned to deal with help from great friends."
95 81% Moonrise Kingdom (2012) - Rated 03 Aug 2015
"Solid 95. A young love story about two kids who have difficult lives at home just trying to be together. Edward Norton is hilarious and sincere as a scout master, and Bruce Willis is a lovable, well-meaning cop."
90 31% Flight (2012) - Rated 26 Jul 2015
"This movie explored the demons of a gifted pilot "Whip" (Denzel). It's tragic but there are sparks of humor, e.g., the scenes with John Goodman. As Whip navigates life after the crash, he can no longer ignore his relationship with alcohol. This movie should have been nominated for best picture in 2012!"
98 95% The Spectacular Now (2013) - Rated 10 Jul 2015
"I can relate to Sutter in a lot of ways which is probably why I like this movie so much. On the outside Sutter seems better than fine, but on the inside he's hurting. He grows up and faces his demons in a beautiful coming of age story."
90 31% Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story (2004) - Rated 10 Jul 2015
"I am a Ben Stiller fan so I really enjoy this movie. It's funny to see the pretentious gym rats (Stiller and crew) jab at the average joe's team (Vaughn and friends). Very quotable movie also: "Ball me Blazer"."
93 59% Nightcrawler (2014) - Rated 08 Jul 2015
"Just barely an "A". This was a great movie. Gyllenhaal is a...psychopath? sociopath? He's nuts and does a terrific job. Intense action and transfixing night scenes in LA. It's fun to watch Lou Bloom (Jake) go down a slippery slope of immorality."
95 81% The Dark Knight (2008) - Rated 08 Jul 2015
"It's thrilling to watch the Joker test Batman. Every scene with Heath Ledger is terrifying and enthralling."
