Bio: I enjoy film and have decided to do a bit of rating and critiquing in my spare time. Very amateur, don\'t know how often I\'ll do this.

90 72% Attack on Titan (2013) - Rated 14 Aug 2018
"WATCH THIS. A decent-paced plot with amazing animation, particularly in the 2nd episode of season 3. The plot is very much well-developed."
100 91% Your Name. (2016) - Rated 14 Aug 2018
"A high-tension romance that unfolds in an unusual way I have yet to see elsewhere. "Your Name" is clearly a passion project, and it comes through in the gorgeous art, character design and plot. The score is remarkable. The film is ultimately a warm, heartfelt and absorbing romance, truly one to recommend for date night with Senpai."
90 72% Tokyo Ghoul (2014) - Rated 14 Aug 2018
"The 1st season is brilliant, though until the end, there is little character growth from the MC. The plot moves at a good pace, with interesting characters and the grounds for several new plots and sub-plots being laid. The timeline of the second and third seasons is skewed, and the second strays far from the manga, though I cannot comment on the third season. Thoroughly enjoyable violence, with a very dark atmosphere."
85 64% The Last Kingdom (2015) - Rated 14 Aug 2018
"An enjoyable plot, with wit and enough action of both varieties to keep the less plot-driven viewers interested. The characters are genuinely interesting, though the MC's "drive" as it were gets sidetracked in the second season. I cannot comment on the relevance to the books."
73 39% Vikings (2013) - Rated 14 Aug 2018
"The first two seasons are great, but the timeline becomes convoluted in some respects, and great license is taken historically. It does not paint an accurate picture of the Norse faith, but is good enough to lend it some mystery. The characters are very much believable, but caring about the plot becomes difficult as it takes a long time to unfold without enough hooks to truly immerse the viewer."
78 56% Centurion (2010) - Rated 14 Aug 2018
"I enjoyed this, it was a solid film, but this tale of survival fails to pull many heartstrings, and the love interest feels fake."
75 47% American Psycho (2000) - Rated 14 Aug 2018
"An interesting, intense and somewhat visceral thriller. Solidly enjoyable, but not enough bloodshed for me ;)."
100 91% Kubo and the Two Strings (2016) - Rated 02 Aug 2018
"Kubo & The Two Strings both brings an interesting adventure tale to life, but also breathes a bittersweet message into a world of children's films that exist to entertain and not to teach or to instill values. Kubo and the Two Strings is not a film to put on to keep the kids busy whilst you cook dinner in a rush, it is one to be watched with them, learning alongside them, holding the youngest in your arms as this film delivers a deep, heartfelt & touching message in a gentle, understandable way."
70 29% The Ritual (2017) - Rated 02 Aug 2018
"A tense film, but the stakes are simply thrust at you, with an easily resolvable conflict. I still enjoyed it."
75 47% Wonder Woman (2017) - Rated 02 Aug 2018
"The first installment of what will undoubtedly be at least a trilogy has succeeded in defying my expectations of being an overly politicized pile of garbage, and produced a genuinely enjoyable, albeit slow-feeling film that I look forward to watching progress as the next few come out. Gal Gadot did a fairly good job, for such a hyped-up film."
