|63 46%||Easy Rider (1969) - Aug 17, 2018
"This film contains both the best and the worst editing I've ever seen. It may feel a bit dated in some ways, but if you know what you're getting into, I think Easy Rider can still very much be enjoyed and appreciated today."
|93 94%||The Departed (2006) - Aug 10, 2018
"Kind of like „Death Note“, but without the magic and with better writing."
|89 89%||Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb (1964) - Aug 02, 2018
"Mesmerizingly suspensful throughout its entire runtime."
|56 34%||Solo: A Star Wars Story (2018) - Jul 31, 2018
"Just likew with Rogue One, there's too much fan service in this move - although I'm glad they toned it down juuust a little bit. They actually managed to create a fan service moment out of an internet meme. Please guys, just stop. The story is solid, and the main cast does a good job. Some of the supporting actors were miscast though in my opinion."
|74 69%||Drive (2011) - Jul 31, 2018
"Classic cinema in a modern setting. I like it."
|56 34%||Sicario (2015) - Jul 19, 2018
"I'm not quite sure what to take away from this movie. It's a lot less epic than what I expected, with a stronger focus on theme. I may have to rewatch this one. Nevertheless, it's a great technical achievement."
|81 84%||Léon: The Professional (1994) - Jul 18, 2018
"Awesome. Weird, but mostly awesome. The movie indirectly highlights how restricted Hollywood productions can be - by not obeying its rules. Léon: The Professional is by all means a French production; some of the themes explored just can't be found in American movies (because they're not bold enough I guess?). A rather refreshing experience."
|61 46%||Ready Player One (2018) - Jun 16, 2018
"Thankfully not a complete meme fest."
|39 9%||Thor: The Dark World (2013) - May 27, 2018
"An incoherent mess -- incoherent with the first film, that is. I can only conclude that The Dark World does not take place in the same canon as Thor. I felt kind of betrayed by the tricksy editing of certain scenes, which only served to mislead the viewer. This is not how a story should be told. Also, the tone of The Dark World is so unfocused that even the two post-credit scenes felt out of place. That's certainly an achievement!"
|67 57%||Case 39 (2009) - May 21, 2018
"Scary and engaging. Another horror film where the end was a bit of a letdown though."
