55 10% Carrie (2013) - Rated 12 Dec 2013
"I really don't know what went wrong with this film. Can't say it was a disaster or so, but it was really disappointing. I watched it at the cinema, eager to be scared but nothing happened. On the contrary, sometimes I couldn't stop laughing. Maybe the fact that I had quite high hopes for it, since I knew that 1976's "Carrie" was a hit and that Julianne Moore was acting as Carrie's mother, added a bit to my disappointment. Moretz and Moore are really good at their roles though - thank God."
80 60% Thelma & Louise (1991) - Rated 09 Dec 2013
"One of the top-notch buddy films ever made in my opinion. Two quite different characters put their friendship above all - along with each one's personal benefits - and head for a cat-and-mouse chase ignoring their temporary lack of power and regaining the self-esteem they need to go on a long journey. The chemistry between the two works amazingly perfect sharing both emotional and humorous moments and give an example about how real friendship should be. One of Scott's precious diamonds with a s"

80 60% Kick-Ass 2 (2013) - Rated 11 Nov 2013
"I don't know if the thing that is said about sequels is true, but yes Kick-Ass 2 didn't manage to be as cool or even better than it's precedent. The whole bunch of new superheroes and villains is refreshing as well as seeing the protagonists having grown up a little. Violence at it's peak and darker moments than we were used to in the previous film add up quite a bit. Hit-Girl's high school phase as it's shown is drawing the film a bit back in my opinion, but her comeback pays back for that."
91 90% Kick-Ass (2010) - Rated 10 Nov 2013
"I haven't read the comic book but the film was a total blast! Everything about it was E-P-I-C! I have to say that I was totally freaked out when I saw Nicholas Cage but OK, he was decent in this one. Kick-Ass as a character and his evolution throughout the film is a kick-ass, Hit-Girl's performance was outstanding and Red Mist seems quite promising as a wannabe villain. There are of course some clichés but the film is such an entertaining one that you don't even care about them."
90 85% Se7en (1995) - Rated 07 Nov 2013
"One of the most amazing thriller/mystery films ever made. Each time I watch it I feel as if I'm watching it for the first time, feeling the same suspense again and again. I think it's one of the most innovative films in general, not just in the thriller section. It's plot is beyond perfection, all the actors give one of their best performances - with Kevin Spacey being my favorite one - and the soundtrack adds up to everything. One of Fincher's diamonds. Love it!"
87 78% The Hunt (2012) - Rated 06 Nov 2013
"I knew I shouldn't had a full packet of cigarettes next to me when I started watching this film... It gets you in a really weird way, you can't keep calm for a moment. I really don't have much to say. Just BRILLIANT. Brilliant direction, brilliant plot, brilliant acting and the most brilliant of all...the end. Bravo!"
81 71% The Thing (1982) - Rated 04 Nov 2013
"It all started from the very beginning. It managed to put me in the atmosphere of mystery, confusion and suspense from the very first moment. Being a sci-fi horror film without showing spaceships lost in galaxies, alien-alike creatures roaming around and attacking Earth was something that I was not used to to be honest. Wonderful direction, amazing music by Ennio Morricone and a top-notch Kurt Russell along with his flamethrower."
81 71% The Fly (1986) - Rated 03 Nov 2013
"I seriously didn't expect something like that when I thought of watching this film. I knew it was a classic but it had totally slipped my mind to watch it. That was AMAZING. Direction, acting, soundtrack, atmosphere, everything. It's a film that makes you want to devour it from the very beginning."
