Considering the talent involved, this should have been hilarious, or at the very least entertaining. Instead, it's morose, dull, and boring. What happened, Bill?

Slightly better than just putting on Christmas songs and watching the Fireplace Channel.

Skip to the scene where everything is blue and George Clooney pops out from behind a Christmas tree to sing "Santa Clause wants some lovin'." I've watched it over a dozen times. Chris Rock's piece was also funny. Other than this, I am sad to see Sofia Coppola's name attached to this project.

Terrible. Full of strange creative choices that don't work at all and a bad script made worse by horrendous direction.

I bet Miley Cyrus smells bad.

Not so much "written" as it is "diagrammed on a cocktail napkin while Bill and Sophia call the last six celebrities who texted them back as the PAs set the 2Ks in the Carlyle and they polish off the first bottle of Netflix's booze".

A cozy little Christmas special with Bill Murray and a few stars sing the tragic holiday season in. Can't go wrong with him singing a duet with Chris Rock! Miley Cyrus spiced things up a little so it wasn't just an old folks evening.

I didn't grew up with stuff like this. So, I don't have a nostalgic side that makes me just lean back and enjoy nice moments from Phoenix (with awesome, french collars), Maya Rudolph or, surprise, Miley Cyrus (welcome to the grown ups, lady, there is the bar!)... Instead I was annoyed by Coppolas laziness. But, hey, its still Bill Murray! I got what I wanted!

Not very funny and didn't bring any christmas spirit. Only thing worth staying for, is Miley Cyrus impressive version of Silent Night.

I'm confused by this, because I loved all the cameos and some of the performances were great. However, I really can't say I enjoyed it. It wasn't particularly funny and it read as more of a funny video made between friends, full of jokes that mean something only to the participants and not the audience. I love Bill Murray and Sofia Coppola so I'm honestly fluffing this rating, but this was pretty mediocre. I grew up watching Christmas Specials, and it didn't even ape or parody them well.

Meh. I enjoy lots of these people in other things, but there was little to appreciate here. Chris Rock and the engaged couple were highlights for me, while the dream sequence drove the whole thing right off the cliff.

Honestly, it wasn't at all what I was expecting, but I can't say it was awful. Honestly, some of the performances are very good, most notably Miley Cyrus's. It's interesting, but not what you'd expect from a Bill Murray Christmas special. Still, it's a nice alternative to the usual movies.

As much as I have been a fan of Sofia Coppola's work, she and Murray have definitely out-hipstered themselves with this one. You spend the whole hour trying to figure out what the joke, angle, message, innovation is. But Maya Rudolf's rendition of "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" almost makes the whole thing worth seeing anyway.

like many people who have become a brand, bill murray (or rather the industry around him) seems to think simply sitting around, being himself is sufficient entertainment for anyone. and as the youtube-generation suggests, that might just be the case. i also expected more impact from coppola's direction. hell, am i contemplating a fucking christmas special just now?

Bill can sing. Early comedy flat out doesn't work, but then songs take over and it's a relaxed, jolly boozy-sad time.
