Classical musicians almost never fare well in movie portrayals (much less TV movies), but Billy Connolly's Findlay Crawford is particularly over-the-top egregious. Perhaps as a subconscious counterbalance to Connolly's over-acting, Peter Falk actually tones down his absent-minded detective shtick just a bit here. Considering how dumb the movie is in general, I suppose it hardly matters.
