Try and Catch Me

This is not actually a movie, but a television show episode (albeit an extended one). Worth seeing for Ruth Gordon only--her inventive acting is fun to watch under any cirumstances.

This episode has a unique dynamic between Columbo and Abigail. The actual investigation is a bit lacking, but the performative eccentric behavior of Abigail mirrors that of Columbo's, with her even going as far to ask Columbo "one more thing." They also share a professionalism towards murder, a detachment from the emotions of it. When I question whether Abigail is a sociopath, I question the same of Columbo.
